However, I do have one thing that I must get off my chest this holiday season.
I was looking on Amazon reviews where suddenly, I saw an influx of women who were giving their wigs purchased low ratings because....GASP...
THE CURLY WIGS THEY STRAIGHTENED WOULDN’T GO BACK CURLY AFTER THEY STRAIGHTENED THEM!

GASP!!!
Why would you purchase a wig that looked like....
and hope the wig turns out like this?
...and then hope the wig returns back to....
NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
What happens when you straighten YOUR HAIR on high temperatures? You can suffer from breakage but also you can suffer damage from the heat. When you try to revert your hair, it won’t be as curly as it used to due to the damage from the heat.
For super curly wigs, to straighten those uses a ton of heat. SO therefore, it’s not reasonable to expect the hair to return to its curly state.
I hear some of you now.
“Well MY wig turned back to its curly state, soooo....”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about. Mine reverted.”
Well you got lucky. This time.
I don’t understand why purchase a curly wig and then straighten it?
Here is a tip that makes a ton of sense....
IF YOU WANT CURLY HAIR, GET CURLY HAIR. IF YOU WANT STRAIGHT HAIR, BUY STRAIGHT HAIR!
See how simple that is? If you want a more versatile wig, then you should purchase a straight wig. At the least, purchase a wig with a nice body wave. That way, you can have the best of both worlds. You can still have your straight styles with the body wave or straight wig, and then curl the wig if you want curls. There are multiple ways to add curls to your super straight wigs WITHOUT heat.
If you want your wigs to have longevity, then there are a few steps that you need to follow to ensure this. Otherwise, you’re throwing your money away in the trash.
