When Buying Curly Wigs Remember....

I bought a lace front wig on Amazon for my daughter and was really impressed with the quality of the wig. It is a Brazilian 20 inch lace front wig with 130% density. Although the density does look closer to 90-110% density, I prefer lower density wigs because they look much more natural than the higher density wigs.

However, when purchasing curly hair, you must remember this....

When you buy a 12 inch wig, you know that if you are about 5’5”, that wig will fall on your shoulders or near your shoulders. However, curly hair is measured not where the wig falls on your shoulders, you pull the curly hair STRAIGHT. When you curl your hair, the length is still the same. 14 inch straight hair is not going to look like 14 inch curly hair.

For example

This is a 14 inch wavy/curly wig. If you straighten this wig, it will measure 14 inches.

This is a 14 inch straight wig.

See the difference?

Pay attention to this chart when buying curly or wavy hair!!!!

Many people don’t know the difference here and make this mistake when ordering. Sellers and vendors constantly have to make this clear to buyers that when you purchase curly hair, you have to measure according to where you want the wig to FALL.

So if you want curly hair to reach down your back, you may want to order your wig 18 inches and more. 18 may only hit at your bra strap whereas, 18 inches straight will be much longer than that. My daughter’s 20 inch straight wig hits waist length on her 5’4” body. 20 inch curly hair will reach Bra strap length.

Please keep this in mind when ordering in the future.
