Is Your Hair Damaged But You Don’t Like Protein? Try Cholesterol! Remember?
No this isn’t the stuff clogging up your grandfather’s arteries. This is the old stuff that your mom use to keep in the cabinet when she would wash your hair.
My mom did the same things.
When your hair is damaged, your hair starts to lose lipids, which causes it to be dry, dull looking, and damaged. When you do a cholesterol treatment, it will temporarily replenish the lipids your hair is lacking, causing it to feel soft, have sheen, and look healthy.
If you know your hair, then you should know the products that your hair likes or doesn’t like. Some of us can’t do too heavy protein, especially if their hair can’t take heavy proteins without their hair coming out brittle and harsh.
However, cholesterol is a good alternative. Be sure to look at the ingredients because some may contain protein, so you want to be sure.
Make sure that you do these treatments sparingly. They are often forgotten in hair care regimens for more expensive products that may or may not work. Most people skip over this treatment and it can be the one product that could make all the difference in your hair. Especially for those who have color treated or relaxed hair.
Be sure to add this staple back to your cabinets or just brush off the dust from your mom’s cabinet and grab your sit under dryer and get ready for a trip down memory lane. I used to love the smell of this conditioner and I’m shocked that I dont have any in the house but I’m about to hop in my wheelchair and remedy this right now.
I’m looking for Queen Helene’s Cholesterol and it will be a staple in my regimen again.
