Human Hair Revelations
Note: If you were already to privy to this knowledge, then that's great for you and you should have told me earlier LOL.
But I had a revelation....
I'm currently wearing Milky Way braided hair. Human hair. It was starting to get a little raggedy at the ends and it was time for me to wash my hair. I loved to cowash when I was wearing my hair so I figure that I'd cowash my hair to get it clean...
Now I knew that conditioner makes hair manageable.
Hmm......I put that thinking cap on and figured that I would cowash my Milky Way. I got in the shower....doused a liberal amount of conditioner on my hair and let sit for almost ten minutes as I enjoyed a wonderful hot shower.
I then rinsed, detangled, and combed straight down like I do my weave. I sat down under the dryer for forty-five minutes as it dried.
I braided in a loose braid and went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning, it was like I had a new head of hair on my head. It was bouncy, smelled wonderful, and was uber easy to comb through.
WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS BEFORE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I mean it is HUMAN HAIR, right? Why wouldn't HUMAN HAIR benefit from the same products that we use on our hair?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
WOW!
(sorry for being a dork)
I know what to do the next time I wear a sew in or my tree braids.
LOL, its always cool to find out new things
ReplyDeleteI learn't this when I had a human hair weave too. It behaved when I dc'd it!! lol. Who woulda thought.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a synthetic weave (that's starting to frizz) at the moment which I really didn't want to wash ... but I couldn't stand it after two weeks. It looks even better after each wash!
